HOUSE SYSTEM

The school students are divided into four groups named houses and all the competitions were held among the houses. The house system inculcates team spirit and competitive energy among the students.
The student community and teachers of the school are grouped into four different houses namely Blue, Green, Yellow and Red. Each house will organize its own literary, Sports and Arts festival to develop their abilities and the students will have an annual inter house competition.



YOGA

Yoga helps children see the beauty and light within themselves, thereby boosting their self-confidence, allowing them to feel more comfortable with their bodies, and helping them get in touch with who they are inside. A child who learns yoga, mindfulness and relaxation will be developing essential skills for a lifetime of health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.


SPORTS AND GAMES

 Students are trained by experts in their areas of interest. This includes Dance, Music, Instrumental music, Karate, Yoga & Drawing. This helps us to develop their inherent talents. Mount Carmel English Medium HSS, East Kallada, has facilities for training students in different sports as in their areas of interest. This include Cricket, Football & Badminton. Soon, a swimming pool is setting for swimming training for interested students.
The school has excellent  Playground, Basket ball court, Shuttle badminton court and Volley ball court are some of the amenities available for Physical education. The music department imparts training in music with the help of modern musical instruments. The school is developing an excellent band set team. The physical education department trains the students in sports and games. Our Physical Trainer is well trained to give necessary instructions and proper training to students


STUDY TOUR

Study tour and excursions are arranged by management for students to refresh their mind and body.   
 All students without exemption are expected to take part in the educational tour and other cultural programmes arranged by the school.

Mount Carmel English Medium HSS, East Kallada is administered by Mount Carmel Asramam, Mathilakom. It was started in 1983 by Late. HG. Mathews Mar Coorilose Metropolitan (Later HH Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II Catholicose of the East)
